About everything in the world

What you need to know about the All-Russian verification works (VPR). What is VLOOKUP and why should they be done? All-Russian verification work on

The abbreviation VPR (All-Russian verification work) entered our life in 2016. "Conduct VLOOKUP", "Prepare for VLOOKUP", "Cancel VLOOKUP" sounds almost as familiar as "pass the exam". However, it does not prevent the reader from checking what he knows about VLOOKUP.

After graduation and midterm exams were canceled (this happened in the 2000s), education leaders lost the opportunity to make a continuous cut of the knowledge of schoolchildren. And only in 2016, in the wake of the success of the National Research on the Quality of Education, Russia decided to fill this gap with the help of control tests that are uniform for the whole country.

Schools, municipalities and regional departments of education are encouraged to analyze the results of the CDF and clarify whether the students' knowledge meets federal state standards.

Everything is good, and everything is in business. But this additional check becomes a headache for teachers, parents and children.

NOT EXAM, BUT MONITORING

All-Russian test work is not an exam, but a monitoring that is carried out to determine the level of preparation of schoolchildren in all regions of Russia.

Therefore, the VPR is regulated by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated January 27, 2017 No. 69 "On monitoring the quality of education."

This is the youngest monitoring study in education. He is only two years old. But during this time 95 /% of all Russian schoolchildren have already taken part in it.

By the way, saying "pass VLOOKUP" is not accurate. More correct - "write VLOOKUP".

MUST OR NOT?

VLOOKUP was conceived for a voluntary test of the knowledge of schoolchildren.

Today, VLOOKUP subjects are divided into mandatory and optional.

Optional VLOOKUP subjects are passed in the approbation mode: they are selected by the school itself to check the level of students' training.

In 2018, All-Russian tests for grades 4 and 5 are mandatory, but not for grades 6 and 11.

But even in optional subjects, one cannot refuse to participate in CDF: this decision is made not by the student or his parents, but by the school.

However, in reality, the school does not always choose the VLOOKUP subjects by itself. Most often they choose a school.

The decision is made by the regional department or the Ministry of Education. It is to them that Rosobrnadzor instructs them to form a representative sample of schools for conducting CDS.

For example, in 2018, at least 60% of schools in each constituent entity of the Russian Federation should participate in the All-Russian test work in the Russian language for grades 2 and 5.

Officials of regions and municipalities are instructed to include in this number 10% of urban and the same number of rural educational organizations with the highest and lowest results of the state final attestation in grades 9 and 11.

Perhaps parents will ask: who needs the results of the GIA, if VLOOKUP will be written by second graders?

It's just that according to the results of the OGE and the Unified State Exam, the regional authorities determine the level of the school and its place in the regional or local ranking. If your school is listed among the very best or, conversely, goes to the chronically lagging behind, it may be included in the list of participants in the CDP in some subjects, without even wanting to.

Unfortunately, last year parents, teachers and directors complained that for them (and, most importantly, at the last moment) they decided whether their school would take part in the All-Russian test work on a particular subject.

WHO AND HOW MAKES VLOOKUP TASKS?

This question worries both teachers and parents. Tasks common for schools of control are compiled at the Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements (FIPI), taking into account the new state standards (FSES).

It is very difficult to obtain official permission for interviews with the authors of the tasks of the GIA or VLOOKUP, even if you are well acquainted with these scientists.

The ideologists of the new type of monitoring say that the benchmarks for them were the tasks of the comparative international study PISA, in which schoolchildren from Russia failed at least twice.

PISA questions are focused on the practical application of school knowledge in real-life situations. This international “bar” is also achieved by Russian specialists who are developing tasks for VLOOKUP.

However, the versions of the All-Russian test works for the senior classes also include traditional tasks that experienced teachers have already met in the demo versions of the OGE and the Unified State Exam.

“In the demos of VLOOKUP, I came across a lot of tasks from the OGE for the 9th grade,” says Ksenia Gennadievna Pudovkina, a teacher of geography and biology at school No. 2 in the city of Sim Ashinsky district, Chelyabinsk region. "VLOOKUP in my subject meets federal standards, so in many tasks not knowledge is tested, but the ability to work with information."
“- If a subject was taught in the system from the 5th to the 11th grades, the student is able to write a VLOOKUP on it,” many teachers believe. - The tasks of the All-Russian verification work are of the basic level, no subtleties are used in them.
“- My children and I solved the VLOOKUP demo - and no one wrote for a grade in the class. Do the same! ”, Others advise.

WHAT ITEMS ARE CONSIDERED THE MOST DIFFICULT: PLEASE NOTE!

Russian language:

Last year, Russian language teachers who were preparing children for the federal test found higher-level questions in the assignments for grade 5 - on topics in grade 6 and 7 that schoolchildren had not yet completed.

If you are not sure about the knowledge of children, it is better to open a demo version of VLOOKUP on the FIPI website and get acquainted with the tasks. The Russian language is the subject that never hurts to study.

Biology:

Some teachers during the All-Russian test work in biology for grade 5 found in the VLOOKUP several tasks on topics that were understood only in textbooks for grade 6 and even for grade 7.

“After this test in biology, the children are very worried,” said one of the mothers, “Some of my daughter's classmates did not have one point for the school grade, some two points for the school grade. This is a lot of stress for them. And in fact, almost all of the VLOOKUP assignments that were given to our children were NOT in the 5th grade program. "
“At present, there is no single biology program for grade 5,” responded to a request from teachers of this subject in Rosobrnadzor. - In the general educational organizations of the Russian Federation ... work programs of 12 different groups of authors can be used. "

However, if your school has already passed VLOOKUP in biology, it means that you are familiar with the problem and have made conclusions.

History:

The second difficult subject of the All-Russian verification work was history.

“- The results of the CDP on history showed that schoolchildren in grades 5 and 11 do not know enough the history of their native land and famous historical figures, they do not know how to establish causal relationships between historical events and analyze different types of sources of historical information,” said the head of Rosobrnadzor Sergey Kravtsov.

At the VLOOKUP on history for the 5th grade, there really were questions about the history of the native land. One teacher from a small town, for example, analyzed VLOOKUP training tasks and calculated that the children would be asked a question about their famous countrymen. His class had learned the answer in advance (there was only one famous countryman at the milestones). And on VLOOKUP the class was asked to name a historical event associated with their small homeland. It is not necessary to explain what the fifth-graders wrote instead. The embarrassment was complete, and the school discussed for a long time whether it was possible to reformulate the VLOOKUP question so as not to give the whole class low scores.

Geography:

This year, some students may have difficulties with the CDF in geography: the school must decide for itself whether it will be taken in 10th or 11th grade.

She can solve it, by the way, at the last moment (see above).

So that the children don't get nervous, here is a free geography simulator of VLOOKUP, which opens conveniently and gives hints:

HOW ARE VALUES DISPLAYED ON VLOOKUP?

“-VLU is not only uniform measures and the same tasks that children do all over the country, it is also the same assessment criteria,” emphasizes Sergei Stanchenko, head of the monitoring research project at NIKO (National Research on the Quality of Education), which became the predecessors of VLF.

The federal coordinator of the VPR is Rosobrnadzor (Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science). It should not be confused with FIPI (Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements), in which tasks are drawn up for VPR.

Rosobrnadzor is in charge of administering the VPR: it appoints regional coordinators of the All-Russian verification work. They are the Departments and Ministries of Education of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which form in their constituent entities of the Russian Federation a list of municipal coordinators of the CDF.

Grades for VLOOKUP are given to each student according to a special scale developed by Rosobrnadzor of the Russian Federation.

Then the received VLOOKUP points are transferred to school grades.

If the subject is optional (the school itself chose it in order to cut the students' knowledge), the translation into marks is carried out at the discretion of the teachers themselves.

Please note: if in your region it is decided to take into account the VLOOKUP grades in the final certification, then they should be taken into account by the whole class, and not by individual students.

It can’t be that someone’s grade for VLOOKUP is credited and put in the magazine, but other children in the class are not.

If the subject of VLOOKUP is recognized as compulsory, it is also assessed by school teachers. But in this case, they must give points strictly according to the criteria developed by Rosobrnadzor.

These results are entered into an electronic form and, no later than two days later, are uploaded through the school's personal account on the All-Russian Verification Works portal.

FOR WHAT CAN YOU GET TWO ON VLOOKUP?

Let's see what you can get a two for in the All-Russian test in mathematics in grade 4.

If a student scored from 0 to 5 points for his work, his knowledge is considered unsatisfactory. Scored 6-9 points - you get a three, 10-12 - a four, 13-18 points - rejoice, parents and teachers, you have an excellent student!

The Russian language in the 4th grade is assessed differently. The one who scored less than 13 points gets a two, 14-23 points - a three, 24-32 points - a four, 33-38 points - a five.

Perhaps this will surprise and disappoint many parents, who were convinced: if the test is federal, then the tasks of the VLF should be checked in Moscow.

No, the VLOOKUP check takes place on the spot, at the school, immediately after the students submit their work. This is done not by the computer, but by the teachers themselves.

“We recommend our colleagues to collectively check several VLOOKUP works,” Sergey Stanchenko explains the verification algorithm, “to see what mistakes the students made in them, and then agree among themselves how to evaluate the results in accordance with federal criteria.”

Teachers can familiarize themselves with the rules for conducting VLT and samples of test papers on the official website http://vpr.statgrad.org/

It's okay to be worried

All-Russian verification works are written in one day for the whole country. Moreover: even at the same time.

For VLOOKUP in Russian in grades 2 and 5, it is recommended, for example, to leave 2-3 lessons in the schedule.

All this imposes certain responsibilities on the school administration.

And we need to prepare for the fact that the whole school will be nervous: it is normal when the whole country is doing the same job at the same time.

Some explain to children like this:

“When we wrote the control RONO in childhood, we were also worried. But we got a mark in the class journal for the test, and the school will simply take your grades into account. "

Some teens object:

“Why then try if no marks are put on the VLOOKUP”?

The answer to this is simple: VLOOKUP points will be announced for the whole class. And this means that those who have taken the federal control lightly will not have the most pleasant moments.

Plus, according to the results of CDF, all those who do not succeed can be assigned additional classes.

Do you need it? That's the same.

HOW TO WRITE VLOOKUP FOR EXCELLENT?

Educational leaders say that it is easy to complete all the CDF tasks. You just need not to start classes and skip school lessons.

Educators who have studied VLOOKUP demos in their subject do not always agree with this. They say that only a few students will be able to solve the federal tests for high scores without preparation.

This fact is indirectly acknowledged by Rosobrnadzor itself, when DOES NOT recommend to teachers (quote):

  • to specially prepare the class for the execution of the VLOOKUP buildings,
  • do it during holidays or after school,
  • put marks for the federal control in the journal,
  • avoid elements of coaching on VLOOKUP tasks.

How long does it take to prepare for CDF?

It all depends on the textbook on which the subject is taught, on the class and on the teacher.

“- With children, of course, you will have to repeat everything before the VLOOKUP. It took me and my motivated students about three lessons to do this, ”says Evgenia Vladimirovna Zhinkina, a physics teacher at school number 32 with in-depth study of the English language in Ozersk, Chelyabinsk region.

VLOOKUP IN PRIMARY SCHOOL

In 2 grades they will take the Russian language, in 4 grades - VLOOKUP in the Russian language (dictation and tests), mathematics and the subject "The World Around". Time to solve tasks: 45 minutes

VLOOKUP IN BASIC SCHOOL

In the 5th grade, students are expected to have VLOOKUP in mathematics, biology, history and Russian (twice - in October and April). Since 2018, the VLOOKUP in history has been added to the obligatory VLOOKUP in the Russian language. Fifth graders complete assignments for 60 minutes

In the 6th grade, you will have to take VLOOKUP in the approbation mode in the Russian language, mathematics, history, social studies, biology and geography. For 2018, the participation of the school in the CDF for the 6th grade is not necessary. The educational organization itself can choose the subject in which it would like to conduct a control slice of knowledge.

VLOOKUP FOR HIGH SCHOOL

In the 10th grade, students will pass the VLOOKUP in chemistry and biology. In 11 grades - in biology, foreign languages, history, chemistry, geography and physics. VLOOKUP is chosen by those graduates who do not pass the profile Unified State Exam in this subject. Schools can hold, by choice, in the 10th or 11th grade of CDF in geography. Time to solve VLOOKUP tasks for eleventh graders is 90 minutes.

Information and technological support of VPR is carried out on the website

All-Russian test works as a form of testing the knowledge of school students were first carried out in 2015 - then they were written by fourth-graders. These tests are aimed at the development of a single educational space in the country and the formation of uniform training standards: the assessment criteria are also the same for the entire Russian Federation. Criteria are sent to each school, which are the same for the entire territory of the state, and in accordance with them, the work of schoolchildren is checked.

VLOOKUP is not an analogue of the USE, since they were created with a completely different purpose. That is, the grade received by the student is not the final grade for the entire period of elementary school and does not play a decisive role in the future fate and educational activities of the child.

For the student's transition to the next grade, the results are also do not affect... But if the student received 4 or 5, the teacher can focus on it as an indicator of knowledge and, in the case of a controversial grade in a quarter / trimester, put the score higher.

Where is it carried out and checked?

VLOOKUP is carried out at school and is checked here - unlike the Unified State Exam, work is not taken outside the educational organization for verification. However, the results can be used to set the final grade in the subject, if such a decision is made by the school leadership. The works are checked on the same day - the school is obliged to submit their results to a single federal collection form a maximum of a day after their completion.

What can be used on VLOOKUP?

You are not allowed to use a telephone during the exam, but you can carry it with you. The state does not provide for a general standard on what writing instruments the work is written with - in contrast to the final certification works of the OGE and OGE, where you can use only black pens. But, since all-Russian testing is carried out by the school, the decision on this issue is made by its leadership - they may say to write with a pen, or they may be allowed to use a pencil.

Nevertheless, there is still one general limitation: during the VLOOKUP it is prohibited to use dictionaries, textbooks, notebooks, reference materials. You can have drafts - entries made in them are not reviewed or evaluated.

How long does VLOOKUP last and when is it carried out?

VLOOKUP is performed within one lesson - in forty-five minutes. In fact, this is an ordinary test, the same as those that are always regularly carried out in schools. The only difference from traditional tests is that the tasks and the criteria for testing them are all-Russian. They can be held both in spring and autumn. If the child was sick and missed writing the work, then there is no need to write the work at another time.

Who is the VLOOKUP?

Work options are drawn up by qualified professionals and reflect those aspects of the curriculum that are most important for general education.

Advice: Try the new xlukup feature, an improved version of VLOOKUP that works in any direction and returns exact matches by default, making it easier and easier to use than its predecessor.

VLOOKUP FUNCTION is used when you want to find items in a table or range by row. For example, you can find the price of an automotive part by part number, or get the name of an employee based on his employee code.

The simplest VLOOKUP function means the following:

VLOOKUP (prerequisites for the search, column number in the range containing the return value, the returned approximate or exact match - denoted as 1 / true or 0 / false).

Advice: The secret of the VLOOKUP function is to organize the data so that the desired value (Fruit) is displayed to the left of the return value to be found (Count).

Use the VLOOKUP function to find a value in a table.

Syntax

VLOOKUP (lookup_value, table, column_number, [range_view])

For example:

    VLOOKUP (A2; A10: C20; 2; TRUE)

    VLOOKUP ("Ivanov"; B2: E7; 2; FALSE)

    VLOOKUP (a2; customer details)! A: F, 3, FALSE)

Argument name

Description

lookup_value(mandatory)

Search value. The value you want to find must be in the first column of the range of cells specified in the argument table_array .

For example, if Array table spans cells B2: D7, then the lookup_value must be in column B.

Lookup_value can be a value or a cell reference.

table(mandatory)

The range of cells to search for lookup_value and the return value using the VLOOKUP function. You can use a named range or table, and instead of cell references, you can use names in the argument.

The first column in the range of cells must contain lookup_value ... The range of cells must also contain the return value to find.

column_number(mandatory)

Column number (starting at 1 for the leftmost column table_array ) containing the return value.

interval_view(optional)

A boolean value that determines which match the function should find VLOOKUP, - approximate or exact.

Approximate match: 1 / true assumes that the first column in the table is sorted either numerically or alphabetically and then searches for the nearest value. This is the default method unless otherwise specified. For example, = VLOOKUP (90; a1: B100; 2; true).

Exact match: 0 / false searches the first column for the exact value. For example, = VLOOKUP ("Smith"; a1: B100; 2; false).

Beginning of work

To build the syntax of a VLOOKUP function, you need the following information:

The value you need to find, that is, the value you are looking for.

The range in which the search value is located. Remember that the lookup value must always be in the first column of the range for the VLOOKUP function to work properly. For example, if the value you are looking for is in cell C2, the range must start with C.

The column number in the range that contains the return value. For example, if the range is B2: D11, B should be the first column, C should be the second, and so on.

Optionally, you can specify the word TRUE if an approximate match is sufficient for you, or the word FALSE if you require an exact match of the return value. If you do not specify anything, the default is always assumed to be TRUE, that is, an approximate match.

Now combine all of the above arguments like this:

VLOOKUP (lookup value; range with lookup value; column number in range with return value, approximate match (true), or exact match (false)).

Combine data from multiple tables on a single sheet using VLOOKUP

You can use the VLOOKUP function to combine multiple tables into one if one of them has common fields. This can be especially useful if you need to share the workbook with users of earlier versions of Excel who do not support multi-table data functionality as data sources - by combining the sources into a single table and changing the data source of the data component to a new one. The table, data function can be used in earlier versions of Excel (provided that the data function itself is supported in the earlier version).

Common problems

Problem

Possible reason

Invalid return value

If the argument interval_view whether TRUE or not specified, the first column must be sorted alphabetically or numerically. If the first column is not sorted, the return value might be unexpected. Sort the first column or use FALSE for an exact match.

# N / A in cell

If the argument interval_view has the value TRUE, and the value of the argument lookup_value less than the smallest value in the first column tables , the # N / A error value will be returned.

If the argument interval_view is FALSE, the # N / A error value means the exact number could not be found.

For more information about fixing # N / A errors in VLOOKUP, see Fix # N / A errors in VLOOKUP.

If the argument value column_number more than the number of columns in table , the error value #REF! appears.

For more information on troubleshooting #REF! in the VLOOKUP function, see the article Fixing the #REF! ...

#VALUE! in the cell

If the argument value table less than 1, the error value #VALUE! appears.

Learn more about troubleshooting #VALUE! in VLOOKUP, see Fix #VALUE! in the VLOOKUP function.

#NAME? in the cell

Error value #NAME? appears most often when quotes are missing in a formula. When searching for an employee's name, make sure to enclose the name in the formula in quotation marks. For example, in the function = VLOOKUP ("Ivanov"; B2: E7; 2; FALSE), the name must be specified in the format "Ivanov" and nothing else.

For more information, see How to Fix the #NAME? ...

Errors # TRANSFER! in the cell

Do not store numeric or date values as text.

When looking for numeric or date values, make sure the data in the first column of the argument table are not text values. Otherwise, the VLOOKUP function may return an incorrect or unexpected value.

Sort the first column

If for the argument interval_view specified as TRUE, before using the VLOOKUP function, sort the first column tables .

Use wildcards

If the argument value interval_view - FALSE, and the argument lookup_value represents text, then in the argument lookup_value wildcards are allowed: question mark (?) and asterisk (*). The question mark matches any single character. An asterisk - any sequence of characters. If you want to find exactly a question mark or an asterisk, you must enter a tilde sign (~) in front of the character you are looking for.

For example, function = VLOOKUP ("Ivano?"; B2: E7; 2; false) will search for all occurrences Ivanov with the last letter that can change.

Make sure the data does not contain erroneous characters.

Excel Editor is a very powerful spreadsheet program. Sometimes it happens that you have to work with a large amount of data. In such cases, various information retrieval tools are used. The VLOOKUP function in Excel is one of the most popular for this purpose. Let's take a closer look at it.

Most users don't know that VLOOKUP stands for Vertical View. In English, the function is called "VLOOKUP" which means "Vertical LOOK UP"

How to use the function

In order to understand how this tool works, you need to follow these steps.

  1. Create a table by which you can do some kind of information retrieval.
  1. Let's add a few fields that we will use to demonstrate formulas.
  1. In the field "Looking for surname", enter one of your choice from those that are in the table.
  2. Then we go to the next cell and call the "Insert function" window.
  3. We select the category "Complete alphabetical list".
  4. We find the function "VLOOKUP" we need. To continue, click on the "OK" button.
  1. We will then be asked to specify the "Function Arguments":
    • In the "Search expression" field, indicate the link to the cell in which we have written the required surname.
    • In order to fill in the "Table" field, you just need to select all our data with the mouse. The link will be inserted automatically.
    • In the column "Column number" we indicate the number 2, since in our case the name is in the second column.
    • The last field can take on the values "0" or "1" ("FALSE" and "TRUE"). If you specify "0", then the editor will search for an exact match according to the specified criteria. If "1" - then the search will not take into account full matches.
  2. Click on the "OK" button to save.
  1. As a result, we got the name "Tomara". That is, everything is correct.

Now you need to use the same formula for the rest of the fields. Simple copying of a cell using Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V will not work, since we are using relative references and each time the column number will change.

In order for everything to work correctly, you need to do the following:

  1. Click on the cell with the first function.
  2. Go to the formulas entry line.
  3. Copy the text with Ctrl + C.
  1. Make the next field active.
  2. Go to the formula entry line again.
  3. Press the hotkeys Ctrl + V.

This is the only way the editor will not change the references in the function arguments.

  1. Then we change the column number to the desired one. In our case it is 3. Press the Enter key.
  1. Thanks to this, we see that the data from the "Year of birth" column was determined correctly.
  1. After that, we repeat the same actions for the last field, but with the correction of the number of the required column.

The principle of this function is that Excel searches for a fragment in the area you specified and then can return any value from this string. All you need to do is specify the ordinal number of the column in the specified range.

That is, the numbering does not start from the beginning of the sheet, but from the beginning of the specified area of cells.

How to use VLOOKUP to compare data

We will demonstrate this possibility using two tables. Let's imagine that we have updated employee data on the second sheet. Our challenge is to find out exactly what has changed. To do this, you will need to do the following.

  1. Let's add a second sheet with exactly the same table (copied using the hot keys Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V).
  2. Promote interns to Junior Employee. This information will be the starting point for comparison.
  1. Let's add one more column to our old table.
  1. Go to the first cell of the new column and enter the following formula there.
= VLOOKUP ($ B $ 3: $ B $ 11; Sheet2! $ B $ 3: $ E $ 11; 4; FALSE)

It means:

  • $ B $ 3: $ B $ 11 - all values of the first column are used for the search (absolute references are used);
  • Sheet2! - these values should be searched for on the sheet with the specified name;
  • $ B $ 3: $ E $ 11 - the table in which to search (range of cells);
  • 4 - the number of the column in the specified data area;
  • FALSE - search for exact matches.
  1. The new information will be displayed in the place where we specified the formula.
  2. The result will be as follows.
  1. Now duplicate this formula in the rest of the cells. To do this, you need to drag the mouse on the lower right corner of the original cell.
  1. As a result, we will see that the formula we wrote works correctly, since all new positions were copied as expected.

Now we can easily determine which employee's records have changed.

The only drawback of this function is that VLOOKUP cannot work with multiple conditions.

In such cases, you have to use various additional columns, which combine information from several columns. And it looks ugly and not very convenient.

VLOOKUP function and drop-down lists

Let's look at examples of using these two tools at the same time. To do this, follow these steps.

  1. Go to the cell in which the surname is selected.
  2. Click the Data tab.
  3. Click on the specified tool and select "Data Validation".

VLOOKUP in questions and answers

Why was it created, when it is being carried out, what is the threat, how to prepare for it psychologically? We refer to official data and interviews with representatives of Rosobrnadzor.

All-Russian Testing Works (VPR) is a practice designed to establish a regular check of the level of knowledge of schoolchildren for compliance with federal state educational standards. The first VLOOKUP was written by Russian schoolchildren in 2015. Since 2016, the All-Russian verification works have become regular.

Having studied official sources, we answer the questions about VLOOKUP that are most often asked by parents.

Basic information: why, for whom, how

Why was it necessary to introduce VLOOKUP? Does the exam really not provide all the necessary information?

Students take the profile USE in all subjects not in a general manner, but by choice, that is, there is no way to get complete data on how the rest of the students learned the subject. In addition, graduates realize that their future studies and careers depend on the results of the USE, therefore they prepare very carefully for specialized exams, most often resorting to the help of tutors and attending special courses. Therefore, the USE results cannot be used to judge the role of the school in the success of graduates. In order to get a more transparent picture, All-Russian verification works were introduced, compiled according to uniform requirements.
