Not Enough Items is another item mod for Minecraft, with which you can get any block, item and even mob without running around the map in search and without using craft for this. But one of its main differences from mods like Recipe Book is that NEI can also show recipes for crafting all things and blocks right in the game and you will not need to look for this information on the Internet. It also supports most mods that add new things to Minecraft and also displays their crafting recipes. In addition, the mod will also show stove recipes and potion recipes, and he still knows how to enchant items in a couple of moves. Such a useful feature will save you a lot of time that you can spend in the game exploring the world or building the house or city of your dreams.

Distinctive features of Not Enough Items

  • You can get any blocks, items, things or resources.
  • Enchantment ("X" button).
  • Ability to change the weather, time and game modes.
  • Magnet function to attract objects around the player.
  • You can see the recipes for crafting, stoves and potions. "Recipes" mode - "R" button; "Use" mode - "U" button.
  • Mods are supported that add new things and recipes to the game.
  • Can heal the player. Heart button.
  • There is a search by name.
  • Saving and quick access to your own set of items.
  • Support for online play (multiplayer).

Some details

Recipes in this mod have two functions: Recipes and Use. Hover your mouse over the item you are interested in and press "R" (Recipes) or "U" (Use) you will switch to the appropriate modes. The recipes show all available crafting options for that item. The Usage shows where this item is used as a crafting resource.

Search (black rectangle at the bottom) makes it possible to find any item. The symbols * and ? can be used. The search results will be displayed in the panel on the right.

The "Item Subsets" button will show you all the variations of the item you have selected. For example, selecting a pickaxe and pressing this button will show you several types of it from different materials (wooden, stone, metal, gold, etc.).

By clicking on the "X" you will open the enchantment menu. Place on the table the item you want to enchant, then select the effect and level of enchantment. The maximum enchantment level is 10.

The Trash can button has 4 functions. The basket itself works both in your inventory and in any that you can open, chests for example.

  1. To delete, take the item and left-click on the basket.
  2. Shift+LMB with an item in hand removes all items of that type from inventory.
  3. Shift+LMB with empty hands will clear your inventory.
  4. Simply pressing the left button on the basket will open the basket mode. In this mode, left clicking on an item will remove it, while shift+left clicking will remove all items of that type.

You can save up to 7 states of your inventory. Right clicking on the saved state will allow you to rename it. With a cross you will delete it. Saves are a global thing and they can be transferred both between worlds and even between

This is an updated version of the Not Enough Items crafting mod and recipes for the latest versions of Minecraft. In general, he became the successor to such mods as TooManyItems and Recipe Book. In fact, he combined their functionality and added a bunch of his useful stuff. Here you immediately get all the things and all the crafting recipes, regardless of the standard Minecraft or with hundreds of installed mods, you can view, get and use all the things and all the recipes from all the mods at your discretion.

If someone does not know or maybe has not seen this mod, I will say what I really like about it. Each item in Minecraft with the Not Enough Items mod can be viewed from two sides:

  1. What can it be made of, i.e. his crafting recipe (R key),
  2. Where is this item, in what recipes is it used (button "U").
Crafting Recipe Display Mode
Display mode where this item is used

The mod has a cool item search system. And it is not necessary to write the whole name. Even if you only know part of the item's name, or even a couple of letters, this may be enough. To search, enter what you want to find in the black rectangle at the very bottom of the screen and the filter will display only those things in which these letters occur in exactly the order in which you wrote them. You can also use characters such as "*" and "?". An asterisk replaces any number of characters, while a question only replaces one character. For example: do you know that a thing starts with blo but don't know what's going on then write blo*, and if you do not know only one letter, then you can write blck and it will display everything where the words "black" and "block" meet.

How search works

In addition to the search, you can filter things by types and different groups. Click the Item Subsets button and select what you need from the drop-down list.

Directly from here, from the Not Enough Items interface, you can start enchanting items.

For lovers of integration, there is also an API.

Just Enough Items, this is a very useful mod that can add a lot of features to Minecraft and thus, it can improve your overall experience.
