How to build a woodshed on car tires. The foundation of car tires. Another way to build

Each land owner who decides to build a house or other structure thinks about saving money for the work. It is no secret that most of the money is spent on the construction of the foundation - about 35% of the cost of the building. Modern technologies make it possible not only to save on construction, but also to ensure long-term operation of the structure without loss of quality.

The tire foundation is an inexpensive, environmentally friendly, reliable solution for the construction of yard structures. To build such a foundation, you need tires from machines, a minimum of tools and materials, which makes it possible to reduce the cost of funds, while obtaining a high-quality, reliable foundation for the building.

In modern construction, much attention is paid to structures in which secondary raw materials are used. The use of out-of-service tires reduces the cost of building a base, because tires are practically free material.

Benefits of recycled foundations

The main advantages of using tires for the base are:

 1. Long service life.
 2. High wear resistance.
 3. Significant cost savings.
 4. Seismic resistance.
 5. Ecological purity.
 6. Good cushioning properties, elasticity.
 7. Ease of construction, minimum labor costs.
 8. Efficiency of use, reliability of a design.

The tire foundation has only one drawback - a large width. This creates some difficulties in the construction of load-bearing walls and the exterior design of the building.

Do not be afraid of building bases from tires, this construction novelty has already shown its stability and efficiency.

The foundation of automotive rubber - reliable and practical

The tire base has proven itself well in the construction of light houses, saunas, gazebos, utility rooms and other low-weight structures. The use of old tires allows you to minimize the cost of building a foundation, so the use of automotive rubber as a base for the construction of small structures is becoming a popular solution.

The tire foundation is light and practical; the construction of such a foundation will require a minimum of time, tools and materials.

An important nuance that is taken into account when laying the foundation of automotive rubber is the location of the tires on the same level. Otherwise, a distortion will form, which will jeopardize further construction.

Arrangement of the base from tires

As mentioned above, the foundation of car tires is used for small country houses, baths, gazebos, sheds and other light structures. Construction is carried out in two ways:

 1. According to the type of glass-type foundation.
 2. A method in which tires are used as poles to support a structure.

Equip the foundation on the tires in several stages:

 • Prepare the site.
 • Mounted in two rows of tires.
 • Fill the cavities of rubber products with soil.
 • Formwork is installed along the perimeter of the base.
 • On top of the car tires, a frame made of a metal corner, a channel, is attached.
 • The tire structure is poured with concrete mortar.

The sequence of work

Before starting construction, the site is carefully prepared: garbage, stones are removed, the rhizomes of shrubs and trees are dug up, the top layer of earth 25-35 cm thick is removed. A level is used to level the territory.

Next, old tires are laid in two tiers (the more tires you install, the stronger the foundation will be). The cavities inside and between the elements are covered with the material at hand: fine gravel, crushed stone, earth, broken bricks, construction waste.

On top of the mounted rubber tires put linoleum, roofing material for the convenience of uniform pouring of the concrete solution. The foundation site is fenced with flanges from an iron corner, a channel with a height of not more than 15 cm. Metal bars are laid inside the fenced-off space and filled with concrete mixture.

The base of the tires is allowed to settle for two weeks, after this period they begin to build walls.

To build a foundation of tires, another method is used. The sequence of work is as follows:

 1. They remove the top layer of soil with a thickness of 10 to 15 cm, dig a pit of the desired size. To compact the soil, a roller or rammer made of thick logs is used. The pit is filled with gravel of fine fraction and compacted. You can also dig a hole along the diameter of the tire and fold the supports out of two or three products. The number of rubber elements depends on the height of the plinth being built and the topography of the site used to build a house, gazebo, bath.
 2. When carrying out marking work, a tape measure is used, pegs are hammered into the places where the tires are mounted.
 3. Tires are laid on the installed posts. Using the building level with a wide board, the products are aligned on a horizontal plane.
 4. A waterproofing material is laid inside each tire, then filled with fine-grained gravel, which is poured in layers with periodic compaction to a level of 6 cm from the upper edge of the tires.
 5. Next, the gravel is moistened and a concrete mixture is poured into each pillar. It is convenient to remove excess mortar with the edge of the board. With a similar method, one column is poured in one approach.
 6. A week after the concrete has gained strength, the installation of the lower strapping bars begins.

Thus, a solid concrete base is formed on top of the tires, transferring the main loads to the crushed stone layer, which distributes them evenly. This foundation is suitable for building a light house, garage, gazebo, bathhouse and other buildings.

The sides of rubber tires act as an excellent compensator during freezing and thawing of the soil. The crushed stone base easily dampens the movement of the soil up and down. The main advantage of this method is small earthworks.

During the construction of a rubber base in the summer season, the tires are covered with polyethylene to prevent cracking of the cement mortar poured inside the tires.

Some construction features

When laying the lower tires, be sure to control their horizontal position by using a level for this purpose.

Carefully make sure that the upper points of the tire foundation are located at the same height, this can be done using this method:

 • Wheels are installed in dug pits, rails of the same length are placed on them, a thin twine is pulled on top.
 • Next, they check the horizontal position, thanks to this method, they easily determine which depth to add land to, and which one to remove.
 • Height differences are eliminated by nailing boards of the required thickness to the lower parts of the strapping.

Such a foundation, due to the large width of the tires, protrudes far beyond the walls at the corners of the building and at intermediate points. This drawback is eliminated by decorative sheathing of the protrusions with improvised materials.

Conclusion

The base of the tires does not require special care, only at the initial stage of the construction of the tire should be reliably protected from direct exposure to sunlight. Be sure to follow the technology of building a foundation from car tires so that the constructed building is not in danger of destruction.

Hello to all guests and readers of the blog. In this article I will tell you how I made the foundation for my house. As you probably already understood from the previous article, my foundation is unusual.

Having studied many types of foundations, I came to the conclusion that the foundation of tires for the house, in my case, would be the most appropriate.

Why did I come to this conclusion? Read the article and find out!

A small outline of the article:

 1. Why is this?
 2. Description of the principle of operation
 3. Comparison with other types of foundations
 4. Who came up with this foundation?
 5. Completed projects
 6. Step-by-step implementation of the foundation of tires from me
 7. What to do next with the plinth

Now let's go over each point in more detail.

Why did I choose this type of foundation?

At first, for a long time I could not decide what type of foundation I should choose. I did not do like most builders in our area. And they do it here in a rather original way: They pour a dump from the ASG, and put a log house directly on it, and from the inside of the log house, two or three crowns are covered with a mound of earth.

I just can’t understand how it should work, the basic principle of insulation is to always do it outside, and the principle of the foundation is to get off the ground and give the structure stability ...

The photo above shows how it looks in my house.

At first, of course, I was skeptical about this, after all, the wheels are designed for a completely different thing. But then, delving into the principle of its work, I realized that this is just the perfect option for me.

According to these criteria, this version of the base for the house approached me:

 1. Smoothing seasonal ground movements
 2. Large footprint
 3. Ease of erection
 4. Low cost
 5. Durability
 6. Seismic resistance
 7. Reviews of those who have already implemented this version of the foundation

To understand how it all works, let's move on to the next item in the plan.

Description of the principle of operation

To begin with, consider a separate section, with one tire. As you can see, the tire foundation is extremely simple.

The principle of building a foundation

This is a tire laid on the ground, stuffed with what you have, and a grillage of the house is laid on it, of course, do not forget about waterproofing, between the grillage (house strapping) and the wheel.

Since I live in an area where the freezing depth is very deep, in some places it reaches 3-4 meters (somewhere there are even areas of permafrost), plus a high level of groundwater is added to everything, then the movements in the soil are simply catastrophic !

Look at what fences we have a few years after installation ... In three years, the right pole has grown by 12 cm.

crooked fence

People are digging huge trenches, and laying powerful metal connections between the pillars of the gates and gates, only so that the gate opens the same way all year round ...

Something got distracted. So the columnar foundation of tires helps to reduce the shear forces of the soil in relation to the house. Tires have the property of damping, and when pressure is applied to a certain area, they expand or bulge, reducing the risk of shifting the grillage.

Such supports are considered a columnar type of foundation. Only the columns are obtained not buried in the ground, but lying on the surface. Well, the area of support for the wheels is also quite large.

Now let's see what happens when there is increased pressure in any area of the tire lying on the ground.

Pressure redistribution

When this effect occurs, the tire walls begin to move apart, albeit slightly, but enough to reduce the transmitted pressure on the structure lying on it.

Almost the same effect occurs when pressure is applied to the entire tire, it’s just that it is completely deformed a little, and neighboring supports will receive less load, while the shift of the grillage will be insignificant.

The footprint of the base of a house of this kind makes it possible to erect buildings also on soft soils. Where houses usually sink, such supports will help you out, they will be much lighter than a concrete foundation of a similar area, and will help you build a house even on peat soils.

I think the principle of operation is clear, now let's compare different types of foundations with a tire foundation.

For convenience, I have compiled a table with the main criteria that I followed when choosing a base for a house.

Comparison of a tire foundation with other foundations

The choice was obvious for me, and I decided to build such a foundation for the house.

Where did the legs grow from the tire foundation?

After studying the sources, I came to the conclusion that people have been using such supports for quite a long time, but they have become more widespread thanks to the Internet, on one forum house there is already a third thread discussing the foundation for a house on tires.

There is a patent for such a foundation, Comrade Semykin Mikhail Egorovich, patented the technology for erecting a support for the foundation using tires. His tires just work to increase the area of support for the foundation, the soils are swampy, they weakly hold the load. Here's what it looks like for him.

Variant from Semykin

Where: 1 - concrete slab, 2 - Linoleum (Roofing material), 3 - tires.

How I made the base for the house

Consider how I made such a foundation. I will try to describe step by step. First, let's decide on the materials and tools that we need:

 1. Tires are automobile, the size depends on what structure will be erected. I took from trucks, Gaz-66, Kamaz, Gaz-53, there is even one from a lappetzhnik.
 2. Geotextile, it needs very little, it fits inside the tire before stuffing it with soil
 3. Any filler, sand, ASG, clay, or a mixture of them, as an option, what is on the site.
 4. Shovel shovel, something like this, preferably with such a heavy handle - will be used as a rammer
 5. Rammer, if a shovel with a simple handle
 6. A car jack, and a few bars as long as the sidewalls of a tire.
 7. A pair, or several pairs, of strong hands)))

This is a complete foundation building kit.

Now the process itself. I’ll tell you how I did it, many builders used different methods, but it all boils down to the fact that this method is the easiest, you can find others by digging on the Internet.

What can be done with such a base

As an option, you can fill the covers with sand, and make a pick-up in the form of a plinth. It can be trimmed with stone siding, it will turn out very effectively. But this is the case if you will make an insulated floor. If you plan to organize a warm underground, then I recommend doing what will be done with me.

This diagram shows what the basement will look like when construction is completed.

Option to design the basement of the house when making such a foundation

Shown here:
1. fill cap
2. The outer wall of the dam will be made of wood and finished with stone-like siding
3. filling filler - sawdust
4. outer wall of the dam
5. primer
6. tire
7. foam

You can download in one fell swoop all the diagrams and the project of the frame of the house by going to, where I made an overview of my construction in its entirety.

Before filling the sawdust, waterproofing will be laid on the ground to prevent the penetration of moisture into the sawdust, and geotextiles will be nailed to the outer wall and in a circle to the inner wall of the house to prevent sawdust from scattering.

The use of breathable material in the plinth is important to regulate the humidity in the subfloor during the winter. It is not necessary to completely isolate the movement of air with a vapor barrier.

Well, on this I consider the topic of the foundation for a house built of tires to be closed.

Subscribe to blog updates, and you will learn a lot of interesting things, do not forget that I am building a full-fledged estate - this is my main goal at the moment! Read also my other articles about, and, I honestly tried!

Well, that's all for now, see you soon!

As you know, the foundation is the basis, the basis of any structure, requiring the lion's share of the finances allocated for development. Naturally, the developers more than once made attempts to save on the construction of the foundation by investing less money and materials in it, but in the end the house turned out to be flimsy and short-lived. They started using tires as the basis for the foundation more than 10 years ago, and since then thousands of people have made the foundation of tires with their own hands. The idea is good, first of all, because the construction of such a foundation does not require professional building skills, plus the necessary material can be obtained completely free of charge.

Pros and cons of building a foundation from tires

The foundation of used tires has many advantages, such as:

 • low cost of building materials;
 • cost savings: both physical and material;
 • excellent waterproofing;
 • resistance to seasonal deformations that occur during temperature changes;
 • seismic resistance - resistance to mechanical vibrations, without cracking (any foundation of a house can crack during shocks, but a tire foundation does not);
 • elasticity, excellent shock-absorbing qualities and long-term operation of the material;
 • relative environmental friendliness of the material (the main thing is that the tires do not go to the surface);
 • ease of arranging the foundation.
Budget base for a country house

Among the disadvantages of building the foundation of a house from used tires, one can single out the excessive width of tires for load-bearing wall structures. In this case, you will have to work hard to find a way to veneer and elegantly decorate the extra width. In addition, if the tires protrude to the surface of the earth, they will release harmful substances into the soil, so you need to know how to make the foundation of the tires correctly and follow the technology during the construction process.

Tools and materials for building

In order to build a foundation from used tires, you will need:

 • used car tires;
 • shovel and rake;
 • sand and gravel;
 • ruberoid;
 • building level;
 • bricks and boards for arranging formwork;
 • reinforcing rods;
 • channel.

Construction of a slab foundation from tires

With the help of tires with your own hands, you can make 2 types of base:

 1. Slab.
 2. Columnar.
Tire slab foundation

The first option involves the use of tires under the base plate. The whole technology of building a basis in this case can be divided into the following stages.

First of all, it is necessary to remove the fertile soil layer from the construction site. Usually a layer with a thickness of no more than 25-35 cm is removed.

After the surface is leveled, you can start laying tractor, car or bus tires. The larger the diameter of the tires, the better the waterproofing will be, the stronger and more stable the foundation. Tires are stacked close to each other, flat.

The required number of layers depends on the initial thickness of the tires, for example, it is enough to lay tractor tires in one row, and it is better to lay car tires in two rows. Also, the required height of the layers of tires is due to the characteristics of the soil in the built-up area. If it is highly swampy, the foundation should be made higher, and the tires should be laid in 2 or more rows.

If a basement or subfloor is provided in the garage or house, this must be taken into account and do not put tires in this place. After finishing work with the foundation, you will need to lay the walls of the future underground with bricks with your own hands.

The empty space between the tires should be covered with fine gravel or broken bricks. When using sand and slag, the house can shrink a lot, so this material is not recommended.

A layer of roofing material is laid on top of the cover base and a timber formwork is constructed with sides 10-15 cm high.

Formwork construction

After that, concrete can be poured into the formwork with your own hands. The formwork is not removed before the concrete pouring is completely dry, and this will happen at least after 7-10 days.

Arrangement of a columnar foundation from tires

The second development option involves the use of tires as pillars of the structure. To install them with your own hands, you must first calculate the location of the corners of the future building and mark the points between them.

The device of the columnar foundation from tires

As in the first case, you must first remove the fertile soil layer. Then you need to dig a pit of a suitable size and compact the soil inside it, then filling it with fine gravel.

At the next stage, it is necessary to mark the site and drive small pegs into the tire installation sites. After that, using a tape measure, you need to measure the distance between the individual pegs along the perimeter and diagonally. If the deviation is small, you can start laying.

Tires are put on directly on the pegs, after which they are aligned relative to the horizontal using a level. Filler is poured inside the well from the tires: crushed stone or expanded clay.

The filler must be poured both into the well formed by the layers of tires, and into each tire separately.. After that, a roofing material is laid on top of the rubber, which is necessary so that the concrete solution poured over the tires does not drain.

Construction of a column foundation

At the last stage, along the entire perimeter of the subfloor, you need to install a formwork with sides 10-15 cm high on the roofing material with your own hands. To further strengthen the base, iron reinforcement is placed in it during concrete pouring.. Over time, when this reinforced concrete slab dries out, it can serve as the floor of the future home.

In addition, there is another easy way to build a foundation from tires with your own hands. In this case, car tires are laid around the perimeter of the building, poured with concrete mortar and tied with channels. After that, the lower crown of the building is tied.

So, the foundation of tires can be easily erected with your own hands as a basis for a garage, outbuilding, gazebo, bathhouse or barn. This is both a great way to save on building materials and a way to recycle used rubber tires from vehicles. Given all the advantages of this material and the functional characteristics of the resulting buildings, we can say that this original method is becoming increasingly popular.

A rather unusual new way of building foundations for individual construction was the creation of a foundation from old, used tires.

The essence of the innovation is as follows. The basis of the load-bearing walls of the structure of a private house or household building usually lies on a slab or tape support. The horizontal component of the foundation can be made in the form of a grillage - a horizontal strength element. It can be created from a concrete casting, from a metal channel or from a wooden bar. In order for the horizontal base not to move under the influence of temperature deformations of the soil, support pillars are brought under it. The depth of placement of such supports depends on the characteristics of the soil, primarily on the level of its freezing, as well as on the degree of its compressibility.

Soil characteristics are determined during field surveys. However, these characteristics of soils can change both within one year and in the medium term. Seasonal and long-term changes in the state of the soil can lead to deformation of the foundation, which transfers loads to the supporting structure of the building. Such changes can lead to the destruction of the structure of the house.

Instead of placing the support of the house on strong pillars, the idea was to place a buffer under it from old, used tires. They have a certain elasticity, and absorb seasonal and annual changes in the soil. This method has already been successfully tested in low-rise construction of light structures. Tires placed under the base plate or bearing grillage dampen ground vibrations.

Another advantage of using old tires as a support for load-bearing structures is the significant reduction in the cost of construction, which is important for private housing construction. Such a foundation base will cost much less than a strip concrete foundation. The tires themselves will cost you almost free, you will only have to spend money on transportation from to the construction site.

For the construction of such a foundation support, almost any tires are suitable, but preference should still be given to more massive and overall structures, for example, tires from the wheels of heavy trucks.

Building the foundation of a house from tires with your own hands

This technology originated in our country in the early 2000s. Currently, its use is even patented as a useful invention.

Cheap, almost free used tires, when placed in the ground, become almost eternal. They are destroyed only due to exposure to direct sunlight, from which they will be reliably protected by a layer of soil.

Car tires placed under the bearing base will significantly soften the loads from heaving soils. Tire rubber perfectly dampens vibrations, in fact, this is its main purpose. In addition, the rubber of tires has excellent waterproofing properties and prevents the penetration of moisture from the ground to the structure of a house or household building.

Elastic tires can be used as a support even in areas with high seismic activity. The rubber cushion perfectly dampens ground vibrations.

A schematic diagram of the use of tires as the basis for the foundation is shown in the figure.

The only disadvantage of this solution is the emission of harmful substances by tires when placed on the surface of the earth. To prevent this harmful phenomenon, it is necessary to completely bury it in the ground.

How to make a foundation for a house out of tires

You can get old tires at any car service station. By doing this, you will help the owners of a car service to carry out free disposal of waste. It is advisable to take tires with a large diameter. You can transfer from to your site using a regular truck.

At the preparatory stage, we draw up a foundation project and mark it on the ground. When marking, we mark the corners of the future foundation with pegs and pull the cord or fishing line both along the perimeter of the foundation support and along its diagonals. Equal diagonal markings indicate that the inner corners of your rectangle turned out to be perfectly straight.

Fertile soil is removed from the surface of the construction site. It can be moved to a greenhouse or plant growing beds.

Pits are dug under the placement of tire supports. The depth of placement of tires depends on the characteristics of the soil.

Sand is poured into the bottom of the dug holes. It is spilled with water and carefully rammed - a sand cushion is created. Tires are placed in holes.

There is an option to build a foundation from tires, when they are laid in a continuous layer, right next to the entire area of the house, or just like a strip foundation - that is, along the perimeter of the future building and under its internal load-bearing walls.

Please note that it is necessary to fill up with sand or soil not only the space between the tires, but also their internal volume. The backfill is very carefully compacted.

Almost all types of foundations can be placed on the laid tires. So on a site with tires laid end to end, you can form a monolithic foundation in the form of a slab. As a result, the concrete casting will lie on the base, which effectively dampens all ground vibrations.

You can also form a strip foundation.

Also, a grillage can be laid directly on the tires, which is formed either in the form of a spatial frame from a metal channel or from a wooden bar.

Also, a concrete solution can be poured inside the support column from old tires. In this case, the process of building a foundation using tires will resemble the construction of a foundation on bored piles, only rubber tires will be used instead of formwork. Before pouring the concrete solution into the "wells" formed by the inner edges of the tires, a reinforcing belt can be placed, which can be connected to a horizontal grillage.

Structure on tires (change house) - photo

Such a design will faithfully serve as a foundation for light outbuildings, for example, for garages or household premises. However, its use as a support for a residential building raises certain questions. However, such a house has already been built in the Leningrad region, which is distinguished by difficult soil and difficult climatic conditions and has been serving its owner for many years.

Do-it-yourself tire foundation is a relatively new way of organizing a strong and reliable supporting building structure for buildings for various purposes on marsh soils. The technology has gained popularity due to its low cost and simple installation.

In this article, we will consider how to make a foundation from tires and what features of construction this supporting building structure has.

Advantages and disadvantages of the supporting structure

Starting construction, a calculation is usually made of the ratio of cost and reliability of the supporting structure, all the pros and cons are weighed. The cost of building a foundation can be 20-30% of the total cost of the finished building. Consider the general advantages and disadvantages of a tire foundation.

Advantages

Installing a supporting structure from tires has its pros and cons. The main advantage of the foundation is its low cost: old tires can be taken to the service station for free, check availability in garage cooperatives, ask friends and acquaintances. At the same time, the foundation of old tires has such advantages as:

 • High load capacity. One stack of supporting structure is capable of withstanding a load of two tons.
 • Reliability. The high area of support from tires (especially trucks) allows you to avoid capsizing the building due to soil settlement.
 • Depreciation. With incomplete filling of tires with sand and soil movement, the loaded part of the support bends, which makes it possible to avoid deformation of the building.
 • Can act as a hydrolyzing pad. Rubber, due to its properties, prevents the lower rims of the house from getting wet.

In addition, the base of the supporting structure made of car tires is light in weight, which makes it easy to transport the tires (you can transport the material to your site by hiring a truck), and allows installation without additional assistance.

Flaws

The disadvantages of a tire foundation are only the reaction of open tires to UV radiation and high temperatures: rubber, when exposed to the sun, releases carcinogens and an unpleasant odor. This can be avoided by covering the material with weather-resistant paint, sheathing the perimeter with a profiled sheet, etc.

Scope of the foundation

The foundation on tires is actively used for laying under buildings on heaving soil and erecting buildings in the zone of seismic activity. The base is suitable for construction:

 • Barn, garage and other outbuildings. Support pillars made of tires are installed at the corners of buildings.
 • Baths. The support made of tires for a wooden bath is not filled up. According to this principle, an open summer gazebo can also be built.
 • Frame house. Tires for a residential building are stacked in several layers. At the same time, it is always necessary to dig a foundation pit under the house.
 • Fence. The material in one layer is placed around the perimeter of the fence.

Tires can be used as a support in order to raise the site for a carport next to a private house. Covered with loam or screenings, tires can withstand the weight of even several loaded cars.

Important! The foundation of old tires is best used for the construction of light residential structures, for example, timber houses. It is better not to save on the construction of high-rise buildings from heavy materials and, instead of a foundation made of tires, choose a buried tape one.

Types of foundation and laying technology

The load-bearing building structure made of wheel tires differs in the installation method. There are the following types:

 • Slab. Tires under the slab are laid in two layers. The installation of such a foundation requires experience with rebar.
 • Columnar. The support structure consists of poles with tires that can be up to four tires high (depending on tire sizes).

Important! Under the foundation for the house, it is better to choose rubber with a large diameter, as it has a higher strength. Tires should be the same size: this makes their installation easier.

Construction of a slab foundation

To lay a slab foundation using tires, the land on the site is cleared, and the top layer of soil is removed without fail. Then, the tire material is laid in two layers (laying should be controlled by level). The voids between the tires and inside the tires are filled with gravel, crushed stone, broken bricks. At the same time, each tire is only 80% full. Next, reinforced concrete floor slabs are laid (see photo).

There are craftsmen who fill the slab, they act as follows: roofing material or linoleum is laid on the tires (due to this, you can get a flat surface for pouring with mortar), a formwork is mounted around the perimeter, the height of which must be at least 100 mm. The reinforcement is knitted over a layer of roofing material and poured with a concrete solution. A week later, the wooden formwork is dismantled. The last method is doubtful, to be honest, it is doubtful.

Mounting the column base

The photo shows a tool for stuffing car tires with sand. Also for such a foundation it is best to take tubeless tires. Since they are easier to fill with sand

The columnar base withstands changes in the soil well. Therefore, it is recommended to install it in regions with increased seismic activity.

To lay a columnar foundation on tires, you must:

 1. Dig a pit and level its bottom with sand.
 2. Mark the site around the perimeter according to the plan for future construction using pillars.
 3. Place the tires in several layers on the poles so that the markings are in the center.
 4. Align the height of the pillars using the building level.
 5. Fill the tires with crushed stone, tamping the material layer by layer.
 6. Moisten the crushed stone and pour concrete into each tire.

You can mount the timber for the lower trim of the building after four days. This time should be enough for the concrete in the tires to set well.

According to SNiP 2.02.01-83, in heaving soils, the depth of the foundation should be at least half of the estimated freezing depth.

Conclusion

The foundation of automobile tires is a simple, reliable and economical option for the construction of light residential and outbuildings (barn, bathhouse, gazebo) in areas with unstable soil. The scope of such a support is extremely large, and the technology itself is finding more and more adherents. Indeed, the cost of a foundation made of wheel tires is several times cheaper than a reinforced tape one, and the support is much more reliable and stronger than a tiled one.
