SNiPs are building codes and regulations of a technical, economic and legal nature, intended for the implementation and regulation of urban activities, engineering developments, architectural design and construction. They contain answers to questions on aspects of construction, provide detailed descriptions of the structure, calculation methods, materials, equipment requirements.

The main task of this document is to protect the rights and interests of citizens using construction products. The requirements of such technical documents should be minimal to the final result of the construction; this is not a detailed instruction for the direct fulfillment of the final goal. Here it is important to comply with all the norms for the comfortable consumption of the object by consumers, and the methods of achieving it may be different.

SNiPs cover all areas of construction from design to putting the house into operation, including heating, electricity, water supply, sewerage. If you do not use regulatory documents, then over time anything can happen to the object: cracks appear on the walls, the foundation will settle. An incorrectly sized and installed heating and water supply system can lead to poor water supply to upper floors or insufficient heat supply in winter. To avoid this, you must fully follow the rules of the document.

What SNiPs regulate heating issues

Federal state enterprise SantechNIIproekt with the participation of the Center for Methodology of Rationing and Standardization in Construction (FSUE CNS) developed SNiP 41-01-2003"Heating, ventilation and air conditioning" to replace the existing SNiP 2.04.05−91. This document was proposed by the Office of Technical Regulation, Standardization and Certification in Construction and Housing and Utilities of the State Construction Committee of Russia. It was adopted on July 26, 2003 and entered into force on January 1, 2004.

The provisions of the building codes of this document have legal and technical regulation for heat supply, heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems in buildings and structures.

The constant use of technical and regulatory documents GOST and SNiP is an integral part of the work of engineers, designers, estimators and installers. After all, the compliance of the project with the approved state standards and building codes is the key to a successful and high-quality work performed and, as a result, the presence of satisfied customers.

For a company specializing in the installation of heating systems, GOST and SNiP concerning heating should become reference books. No project can be completed without adhering to building standards. These documents reflect all the requirements for heating systems, methods for calculating heat supply and materials used, quality standards for equipment.

The main purpose of these documents is to protect citizens when using construction sites from the point of view of fire, sanitary and environmental safety, as well as to comply with the reliability and energy saving requirements for heat supply systems.

Ignoring GOST, SNiP, SP, GESN and VSN standards, building rules and regulations when performing work can lead to unexpected disastrous results. A heating system, calculated and installed without taking into account regulatory documents, can lead to insufficient thermal conductivity of the system, failure of heating equipment, smoke in the premises or high heating costs due to ineffectiveness of its operation. Accurate execution of the regulations of the document defining the order and methods of work execution will allow avoiding failures and breakdowns, as well as further unpleasant proceedings with the customer.

Regulatory documents such as GOST and SNiP, collected in one place, will greatly facilitate the work of the company when performing work on the calculations and installation of heating systems.

Heating system project includes a text part and a set of drawings in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documents.

The volume of project documentation, i.e. heating project, includes:

    at the stage of developing the wiring diagram:
  • cover and title page;
  • a table of initial data for the design of a heating system;
  • basic technical solutions of heating systems (summary);
  • calculations are made that are not included in the design documentation:

    • calculation of the power of heating devices;
    • hydraulic calculation of heating lines and their elements;
    • calculation of the main heating equipment (boilers, boilers, etc.);
  • main set of drawings:
    • placement of terminal equipment (heating devices and consoles);
    • placement of heating mains and their elements;
  • specification of heating equipment without detailing;
    to obtain a complete package of project documentation, i.e. creating a heating project, additionally being developed:
  • are added to the main set of drawings:
    • areas of operation and maintenance of the main heating equipment;
    • detailing of the main heating equipment assemblies (piping of boilers, boilers and heating units);
    • block diagram of the main heating equipment;
    • detailing of the nodes of the terminal heating equipment system (drawing of collector cabinets, detailing of the boiler room and chimneys, connecting heating devices);
    • overall dimensions (diameters) and service areas of heating routes;
    • notes for the installation of the heating system;
    • heating system diagrams;
  • are added to the explanatory note:
    • building heat demand table by system;
    • characteristics of the heating system (dimensions, energy consumption, etc.);
    • heating system automation design;
  • task for related systems (integration table) - issued on demand if other companies are engaged in related engineering systems;
  • specification of heating equipment with details;
  • licenses and certificates for design and installation work;
  • coordination of design solutions with architects and designers.

The scope of the heating project allows for the complete implementation of the designed system. Some of the documents included in the heating project developed by our company are presented in the standard design for combined heating of a house.
