The emperor hesitated, saying that no one can be resurrected, just as this white egg does not turn red. And then a miracle happened: the egg acquired a bright red color. Since then, it has been customary to "christen": to give each other colored testicles and say: "Christ is Risen!" What can we see there?

  1. E100 (curcumin) and E140 (chlorophyll)Are additives that give the eggs a red and turquoise color. They are harmless to the human body, so you can safely move to the checkout.
  2. E122 (azorubin or carmoisine)- banned in some countries, but not in Russia. Gives a red color when stained. People who are sensitive to aspirin are better off giving it up.
  3. E124, E128- are recognized as dangerous additives and are strictly prohibited. if you nevertheless find one of these components in the composition, you can file a complaint with the manufacturer.
  4. E102- gives a yellow color. Previously it was banned, but then it was allowed for sale. We doubt that you can trust a synthetic dye with a "tarnished reputation".
  5. E132, E133- food additives for obtaining yellow, blue and green colors, which can provoke an allergic reaction up to Quincke's edema, especially in asthmatics.
  6. E142- additive banned in some countries. Causes allergies. Gives a green color.

Easter eggs decor

Perhaps, in the previous lines, we questioned your desire to paint eggs in general. We hope this is not the case, but if it did happen or you just don’t want to bother with painting eggs, there are other options - using jewelry. You can decorate already colored eggs - this way they will look doubly bright and beautiful, or you can decorate the usual ones.

We offer you several ways to decorate eggs.

Watercolor design

You will need:

  • hard boiled eggs;
  • art brushes;
  • watercolor paints.

As a matter of fact, this is where the instruction ends, because everything that you will do next is only your creativity! Draw green leaves, flowers, try to depict different patterns.

Attention! Such testicles are used only for a gift or decoration of a festive table. It is not recommended to eat them.

Coloring with patterns

You don't need to be able to draw a monogram to paint an egg beautifully for Easter. Simpler methods can also be used.

For example, before dyeing the eggs, wrap a leaf of parsley or dill around each of the eggs, place it in a stocking, and put it in water to dye. When you take out the colored egg and remove the leaves, you will see that the shell underneath is not colored. You will get beautiful twigs and leaves on the surface of the egg without any effort.

Decorative ornaments

You know how to paint eggs for Easter, but do you remember the decorative elements that you can use? You can use anything to decorate Easter eggs: beads, beads, paper appliques. You can just tie a bright ribbon bow.

Thread floss

Did you know that you can create an unusual design using ordinary floss threads? To do this, take a white raw egg, wrap it with threads of different colors and cook for 10 minutes. We take out the egg, remove the threads that have already been imprinted on the chip, and we get a multi-colored egg. Amazing, isn't it?

Fabric "translators"

How to paint eggs for Easter in an original way? Using fabric is easy and simple!

You will need:

  • a piece of old fabric with a pattern or pattern (men's ties are great for these purposes);
  • threads;
  • nylon stocking or white cotton fabric.

We take a piece of fabric with the pattern we like, wrap an egg in it and sew a little on the sides. For a stronger hold, you can place the egg in a nylon stocking or wrap it with a white cloth.

Add 3 tbsp to the water. l. 9% vinegar (for 1.5 liters of water) and boil the eggs. Then we drain the water, take the eggs out of the fabric and admire!

Get creative and don't forget. Happy Easter!

So, let's wash and dry the eggs well. If you have dry leaves of plants and flowers, then pour hot water into a small mug and throw the herbarium into it, after a couple of minutes the leaves will become flexible and it will become easy to work with them. If you are using fresh leaves, soak them in cold water as they will stick to the eggs.

Now we apply a leaf to the egg, tightly wrap the egg in gauze or bandage for one layer and tie it in a knot. Do not forget to hold the leaf so that it does not move anywhere with us. If you decide to wrap it in nylon socks or tights, then cut off the sock from them and put an egg in this "bag", and tie a knot with threads. It will turn out to be a kind of string bag.

Repeat this procedure with the rest of the eggs. For each method, I used one or two eggs. Therefore, I did not wrap all the eggs, the rest will be painted differently.

The first method is onion peel

This method is the most common and dearly loved by our grandmothers and great-grandmothers, for them it was almost the only option for dyeing eggs. We are talking about onion skins.

So, put the husks of blue and onion onions, eggs, a teaspoon of salt in a saucepan and pour in such an amount of water so that the eggs are completely covered. We put on fire and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cook eggs with husks for another 10 minutes. The water has already turned a bright red, slightly reddish color. Turn off the heat, close the lid and let the eggs stand for as long as we think is necessary. The longer they lie in the water, the brighter and richer the color of the eggs will turn out. It took me about 10 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, we take out one testicle and transfer it to a saucepan with cold water. Thus, we will fix the color and cool the eggs faster.

Now we get the eggs out of the gauze, if you dyed using the same method as me, and admire the result.

I have a deliciously colored Easter egg! And the pattern was perfectly drawn, on the second (at the end of the article) it will be visible.

Second way

The next method made me very happy. For him, we need 5 tbsp. l. ground coffee. I had coffee beans at home, so I quickly ground it.

Pour the ground coffee into a saucepan with cold water. Add a teaspoon of salt and put in the eggs. Bring to a boil, stir and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Then turn off the heat, close the lid and leave for 15-20 minutes. Here it is exactly the same as in the case of onion skins: the longer, the better. It took me 15 minutes.

We take out the eggs with a slotted spoon, remove them from the gauze, this pleasant coffee color is already visible in the photo, and what an aroma!

It was hot to get out of the gauze, but I endured it. Only after I washed it with cold water, that's what I did! Delicate cream-colored eggs. The leaf was apparently not pressed tightly to the shell, but I liked this effect of negligence even more. Just look!

Another way is turmeric or curry

Unfortunately, the turmeric ended treacherously and I had to use curry. After reading on the Internet that turmeric can be safely replaced with curry, I trusted, and following the recipe, I colored the eggs.

So, for this we need to boil eggs, following my advice above and add 1 tbsp to boiling water. l. vinegar and 2 tbsp. l. curry. Cook for another 10 minutes, turn off the stove and leave the eggs to stain for at least 30 minutes. They will acquire a delicate yellow tint, and if left for longer - a bright, sunny color will turn out.

I needed a saucepan and put the egg and some of the water into a glass.

Here it is, in the center!

Fourth way

The fourth method surprised me pleasantly. For it we need: a plastic mold or a clean glass of sour cream or mayonnaise, with a tight-fitting lid, then 2-3 teaspoons of rice or barley porridge (like mine) and two food colors of your choice. Oh, yes, be sure to boil a white egg in advance, without any patterns and bandages.

Add cereals and a couple of drops of one dye, for example, yellow, to the container, mix with a spoon, put the egg, close the lid and shake gently. Open up and take out the egg. Add a couple more spoons of rice or barley porridge (it is small and easily sticks to the shell, which is why I chose it) and add a few drops of a second food coloring, for example, green. Put the same egg in the container again: close the lid and shake.

We take out the egg, wipe it with paper towels. IN NO EVENT DO YOU NEED TO WASH! Here is what a lovely testicle I got! It is textured (rough to the touch) and incredibly bright, multi-colored. Optionally, you can paint it in a third color.

The fifth way is Captain Galaxy!

And now is the time for colors. I had seen enough of it, and I had the idea of creating galactic Easter eggs. Of course, they have been on the Internet for a long time, this is not news to anyone, but suddenly mine will seem innovative to you. Go!

I have only the final photo, this time not through thorns to the stars! ;) Making such eggs is as easy as shelling pears!

Boil the eggs in water, then put them in cold water, as I already wrote above, dry them with a towel and now attention!

Let's take two food colors: red and blue. Mix 5-6 drops each in a glass with warm water, 1 tsp. vinegar and 1-2 tsp. sunflower oil. We need oil for the "stardust", for the white dots. We mix everything.

Now we wrap the egg with rubber bands or money rubber bands, so that we get rings, like those of Saturn, and put the egg in the glass. We leave it there for 10 minutes and take it out. Here's what you should get. A bright, cosmic Easter egg. Isn't it beauty?

With kandurin and a brush, if desired, you can add some golden strokes. And if it seems to you that there are not enough "stars" on the egg, then dip the brush in white paint and gently slide your finger over it, so you will spray the paint on the egg. It will turn out very cool!

And here is the same cracked egg that let me down and what I did with it in the end.

In two glasses with warm water, vinegar and a couple of drops of blue dye, I dipped (half) the egg and held it for 3 minutes, no more. Then in another glass, only with red dye, I dipped the other side of the egg and held it there for another 2 minutes. And then I added a little more dye to one of the two glasses and dipped the egg again, where it was not very dyed. Nothing complicated, but I perfectly disguised it! See what happened.

Two space eggs.

I moved smoothly to unsuccessful options.

Beet. I heard about dyeing eggs with beetroot juice many times, but I still could not make up my mind, and now, the time has come. Frankly, I was disappointed, because you need to cook beets for a very long time (always with vinegar!) And the color turns out to be pale pale pink.

So, if you, like me, are new to dyeing eggs for Easter or you do not have a lot of time left, it is better not to take this method. And if you did try, and just like me, you got into trouble, there is a way out - paint. Simply dip the egg in red food coloring, following the instructions on the package, and let it sit for a few minutes.

If among you, dear readers, there are those who skillfully paint eggs with beets, share a proven recipe. I will be very grateful!

In the photo on the left - the red dye that saved my beetroot egg, and on the right - dyed with onion peel.

The last bad experience was green tea. No matter how much you cook and leave eggs in tea, the color is very dull. And I poured tea decently. Wouldn't recommend! If you just take green mate tea and try to color in it. I think there will be no such problems with him.

How to fix this matter - you already know, taught;) Although I still left one for an example, I will show it below.

Here he is, my tea friend, the first in the bottom row!

These are the eggs I got. Delicate, cosmic and simply beautiful. How do you like them?

Preparing for Easter, each hostess is sure to paint eggs. Where did this tradition come from and why do they paint eggs on Easter?

Legend has it that for the first time Mary Magdalene presented a painted egg for Easter to the emperor of Rome. But this egg was not simple, it was painted red, symbolizing the blood that Christ shed in the name of humanity. On the scarlet egg there were only two symbols of H.V., which meant Christ is Risen! It was from that very egg that the custom began to paint eggs for Easter.

How to paint eggs for Easter? Myths and Reality.

The most common way to dye eggs is with food coloring. Fast, convenient, but not always safe for health, especially if the dye is purchased from the hands. The safest method is to dye eggs with natural dyes. There are many different methods described on the Internet, but not all of them are effective.

Below I will describe about my experiments, how you can really paint eggs and what methods are a waste of time.

How to paint eggs with onion skins

Our grandmothers and great-grandmothers also painted eggs with onion peels, modern women also prefer this method.

Painting eggs with onion peels:
- We collect onion skins in advance. The more onion skins we have, the better.
- Fill the husk with water and put on fire. Cook under a lid over low heat for at least half an hour. Boil longer for color intensity.
- Cool the broth, filter. You can prepare onion broth in advance.
- We take raw eggs, fill them with a decoction of onion peels so that they are completely covered with natural paint.
- Cook the eggs as usual for 7-10 minutes. It is not advisable to cook longer, since eggs lose their beneficial nutritional properties with prolonged heat treatment.
- Put boiled eggs of a beautiful orange color on a plate. When the eggs are cool, rub them with vegetable oil to make them shine.

Advantages of painting eggs with onion skins: absolutely harmless to the body. In this way, eggs can be dyed from light yellow to intense red-brown. The color saturation depends on the concentration of the decoction. The onion peel broth itself is very simple to prepare.

Flaws: not known.

Conclusion: the method works, it is cheap and reliable.

P.S. I like to experiment, check everything on my own experience. So I decided to paint the eggs with blue onions, it is also called Crimean, it has a blue-violet husk. I expected the eggs to turn blue or purple, but the experiment showed that the eggs turned brown with a slight purple tint. So, I think it is better to paint eggs for Easter with ordinary onions, although ... for a change, you can also blue))))

How to paint eggs with coffee

Honestly, I doubted whether it was possible to dye the eggs with coffee. As it turned out, yes, it is possible, and it turns out very well. So, I'm telling you how to paint eggs in this way.

Egg coloring with natural coffee:
- Pour natural ground coffee into a saucepan, fill it with water. For a glass of water, I took 4 heaped teaspoons of coffee. For a more intense color, you can take more.
- Bring the coffee to a boil, reduce the heat so that it does not boil over and cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
- We filter the coffee and let it cool down.
- Pour the cooled coffee over the eggs. The coffee should completely cover the eggs. We put on fire.
- Cook eggs over low heat for 7-10 minutes.
- Gently take it out, put it on a plate with a napkin. No dark spots form on the underside of the eggs thanks to the quick-absorbent cloth.

Benefits of dyeing coffee eggs: natural, completely harmless dye. You can color the eggs from light coffee to dark coffee, depending on the saturation of the solution.

Flaws: much more expensive than onion skins.

Conclusion: the method works, the coffee hood lays down quite evenly. I experimented with instant coffee. Works too, but not as nice and even color.

How to paint eggs with chokeberry juice

I read about the fact that eggs for Easter can be painted with berry juice on the Internet, and I immediately wanted to check this method, whether it really works. And I started with chokeberry.

Egg coloring with juice:
- We take out the frozen berries of a chokeberry from the freezer. Defrosting.
- We crush the rowan with a fork to release the juice from the berries.
- Pour raw eggs with water, add the crushed chokeberry fruits. The liquid should completely cover the eggs.
- Cook hard-boiled eggs. At the same time, rowan berries color the water in a dark lilac color. Eggs take on paint poorly.
- Put the boiled eggs on a plate. As you can see in the photo, the eggs are blue-lilac in color.

Advantages: a natural way, completely harmless.

Flaws: weak and uneven coloration. If cracks appear during cooking, then the protein is also painted blue, it turns out not very appetizing. It is better to prepare the most useful aronia tincture from berries.

Conclusion: you can paint eggs with chokeberry juice. True, blue-purple eggs with scary streaks are more suitable for Halloween than Easter.

Despite the not very good result of painting eggs with chokeberry juice, I still did not lose heart and decided to experiment with blackberries. And, lo and behold, everything worked out!

Coloring eggs with blackberry juice:
- We've been freezing blackberries since summer. On the eve of Easter, we take out the blackberries from the freezer. Defrosting.
- We crush the blackberry with a fork, then fill it with water and cook for 15-20 minutes. For every 200 ml. I took a hundred grams of water.
- Strain the broth, cool.
- Degrease the eggs before painting. Cook eggs in blackberry juice.
- We carefully remove the finished eggs. We make sure that no smudges remain on the eggs, since blackberry juice continues to color the eggs after boiling.
- To get stripes on the egg, pour a little juice into the egg holder, carefully place the egg itself and leave it for a few minutes. Then we decrease the liquid level and repeat the operation again.

Advantages: natural way of dyeing eggs, completely harmless.

Flaws: it is quite difficult to achieve a uniform coverage.

Conclusion: blackberries beautifully paint eggs, allows you to create interesting effects.

How to paint eggs with beet juice

From personal experience, everyone knows that beets paint meat, potatoes, and eggs in borscht. Therefore, it is quite logical to assume that beet juice is suitable for dyeing eggs for Easter. Is it so? Judge for yourself.

Coloring eggs with beet juice:
- Take one large beet or several small ones. Choosing dark roots.
- Peel. We cut into plates or strips.
- Cook the beets in a little water to get a rich beet broth.
- We filter the broth, cool.
- Wash raw eggs thoroughly, you can use dish soap.
- Cook the eggs in beet broth for 10 minutes, then put the eggs on a plate.

Advantages: relatively cheap. You can paint eggs in borscht)))

Flaws: the eggs are pale.

Conclusion: the result does not live up to expectations.

Can eggs be dyed with cherry juice?

I heard about this method of dyeing eggs for Easter for a long time, I wanted to try everything, but there was no fresh cherry. This year, I specially froze cherries to conduct an experiment.

Coloring eggs with cherry juice:
- We take out the frozen cherries from the freezer. Defrosting. I took 12 cherries for each egg.
- We crush the defrosted cherries with a fork, remove the seeds.
- We take raw eggs, fill them with water, add juice and cherry pulp. We make sure that the liquid level is above the level of the eggs.
- Hard-boiled eggs. Despite the bright color of the compote, the eggs are painted very poorly.
- We remove the finished eggs from hot water, cool.

Advantages: natural ingredients.

Flaws: eggs practically do not paint.

Conclusion: the result is unstable, depending on the variety and ripeness of the cherries. It is better to cook cherry jam or delicious compote from cherries, and paint the eggs with onion skins.

  • According to church traditions, eggs for Easter are painted only on Maundy Thursday, this is the last Thursday before the great holiday.
  • To prevent the eggs from bursting during cooking, you need to do the following. We put the eggs out of the refrigerator for an hour or more so that they reach room temperature. Add one tablespoon of salt to the water. Put the eggs in water at room temperature, and then put them on fire.
  • To make the paint lay on the eggs smoother, before painting, degrease the surface of the eggs with vodka or wash the eggs with soapy water. To make the eggs shine and the colors more intense, rub the eggs with sunflower oil the next day after painting.
  • How to make a pattern on eggs

There is an opinion that if you wrap the eggs with thick knitting threads, braid, or just attach a flower or a leaf of parsley, then wrap the egg in cheesecloth and boil it in dye like that, you get a beautiful painted egg.

Honestly, not everything is as simple as it seems at first glance. The dye quickly soaks into threads and fabric, dyeing the egg. Leaves and flowers also leave, letting the paint pass. Perhaps the one hundred and twenty-fifth attempt will be successful, but usually before Easter there is no time to experiment. Therefore, to make a print on the egg, we use strong electrical tape that sticks well.

    How to make a print:
    - Degrease the surface of the eggs.
    - To get a picture, we sculpt pieces of electrical tape on the egg. We carefully press the electrical tape so that the edges adhere properly.
    - Cook eggs in dye. Onion peels or coffee give good results.
    - Eggs, hard-boiled, removed from hot water, put on a plate.
    - When the eggs are cool, remove the stickers.

    Symbol meanings on Easter eggs

    Pine symbolizes health
Oak leaf or oak tree symbolizes strength
    Any berries symbolize fertility.
    Plum symbolizes love
    Hop cones symbolize fertility
Flowers - a symbol of girlhood
The net on the Easter egg is a symbol of destiny
Yellow mesh - a symbol of the sun
Points are fertility. And the more dots, the more fertility

When painting eggs, you can come up with your own drawings and patterns, while it is important to do this with joy and an open mind, because Easter eggs are not just a tradition, they are a symbol that conveys our emotions, energy and wishes.

    Original Easter eggs

Eggs can be painted by hand. When my son was still little, we painted eggs with honey watercolors. Yes, with this method, the drawing does not last long and when it gets wet it loses its shape, but how much joy the child has)))
Also, for painting eggs, you can use school gouache, which is tested for safety for children.

Eggs can not only be dyed, they can be wrapped in colored foil or applied using ordinary colored paper. Colored confetti are great for this.

Greetings, dear friends! The calendar spring will come very soon, leaving behind frosts and noisy winter holidays, which means it's time to think about the most important Christian holiday - Easter. Today I bring to your attention a thematic master class on how to paint eggs with food dyes.

Of course, nothing is difficult, and most packages with food coloring for eggs have instructions, but still I would like to dwell in more detail on such points: how to properly dilute dry food coloring and whether it is possible to paint eggs with dyes for cream.

Children really like the whole process of painting eggs with food dyes, so even if you are not going to paint eggs for Easter, it is very difficult to deny children such an interesting and exciting activity. And in order not to stain the whole kitchen and all the dishes with food colors, my master class "How to paint eggs with food colors" step by step with a photo is at your service!

    We will need:

    • Food coloring of different colors
    • Half-liter cans (as many as dye colors)
    • Warm water (250 ml. In one can)
    • Eggs (hard boiled)
    • Thin gloves

How to color eggs with food colors:

So, to paint eggs for Easter (no matter which way), we need the eggs themselves. For painting, I recommend using medium-sized white eggs marked "C1", one egg weighs about 50 grams. Wash the eggs thoroughly with a brush, and then boil them hard (8-10 minutes after boiling water). Next, the eggs must be completely cooled.

Now let's prepare half-liter jars: a separate jar is required for each color. Pour about 250 ml into each jar. warm water.

Next is the turn of food colors. You can use a special food coloring for eggs, which is sold in stores before the holiday, or you can use professional food coloring for cake and cream for pastry chefs, as in my case.

Gel dye is rightfully considered the most convenient food coloring: you don’t need to dilute it especially, and the result is always excellent. But due to the relatively high cost, it is not advisable to use gel dye when painting eggs. Therefore, I paint the eggs with the powder colors for cake and cream that I have in stock.

How to dilute dry food coloring:

All powder dyes have different color intensities, so we start with half a teaspoon of 250 ml. water. To color the eggs, we need to achieve a fairly intense color, so more dye may be needed.

Mix the dyes thoroughly with warm water, and leave for five minutes so that the dye dissolves properly. Remember to wear gloves before handling food coloring.

Then, carefully using a tablespoon, lower the eggs into a jar with diluted dye, and leave for 5 minutes. In one half-liter jar, two eggs are freely placed. The eggs should be completely covered with colored water.

After the indicated time, take the eggs out of the colored water using a tablespoon and put the colored eggs on separate plates.

Now you have to wait until the colored eggs are completely dry, and you can collect the Easter basket!

Now you know how to paint eggs with dyes from the store. I really hope that my master class will be useful to you in preparation for the Easter holiday. Or maybe you have your own interesting ideas on how to beautifully paint eggs for Easter with your own hands? Please write in the comments, or social networks. As always, I look forward to your feedback and comments.

To make it tasty and healthy!

To make it tasty and healthy! "> To be both tasty and healthy!" Alt = "(! LANG: 12 natural colors for Easter eggs To make it tasty and healthy!!}">

Before Easter, many chemical dyes of bright shades for eggs appear in stores, but the most beautiful, healthy and tasty eggs will be dyed with natural dyes that our great-grandmothers still used

So, as natural colors for eggs, you can use any vegetables, fruits, berries and even herbs and spices that have a pigment that can color Easter eggs. The most popular are: red cabbage, beets, coffee, spinach and nettle leaves, turmeric, paprika, green tea, hibiscus, blueberries and cranberries.

    Two ways to color eggs:

    1. To prepare the dye, vegetables and fruits need to be cut and cooked for 30 minutes (the proportions are arbitrary and depend on which shade you like best). Then boil the eggs in the coloring solution for 10 minutes (the water should completely cover the eggs). For a richer color, you can lengthen the boil time.

    2. And you can paint already boiled eggs, then you first need to make a coloring solution (boil vegetables, fruits or spices with water), and then paint an egg in it (the minimum coloring time is 30 minutes, but you can hold it all night).

Important! In order for the color of the coloring solution to be bright, it is imperative to add vinegar (1 tsp) to it.

Naturally, natural dyes will not give such a bright shade as chemical ones, but they are absolutely harmless and capable of dyeing eggs in very delicate and beautiful colors.

These colorful testicles will definitely please your family, especially children!

    Examples of egg staining:

    Yellow

The yellow color of eggs is obtained if they are boiled in water with the addition of onion peels, carrots, caraway seeds or chamomile. A more intense color is obtained on yellow or brown eggs. Chamomile gives a delicate yellow color, it can be boiled and filtered, or eggs can be boiled with chamomile tea bags.

Example 1: Boil turmeric for 15 minutes in water and immerse the eggs.

Example 2: To prepare the dye, you need to take 1 liter of water, 3 tablespoons of turmeric powder and grated red carrots, cook for 30 minutes.

    Orange color

Orange color of eggs - orange peel juice, tangerine peel juice, paprika, red carrot juice.

Example 1: 4 tbsp. spoons of paprika need to be boiled for 30 minutes in a saucepan with a glass of water, then put eggs in the broth.

Example 2: Soak boiled hot eggs in carrot juice with the addition of turmeric (the proportions are arbitrary and depend on which shade you like best).

    Brown color

Brown - Birch leaves, black tea, coffee. It is necessary to brew strong coffee or tea and boil eggs in it.

    Brick red - Onion peel.

Example: For 3 liters of water, you need to take 4 cups of onion husks and boil for an hour. The more onion peel, the richer the dye will turn out. We lay eggs and boil in the resulting dye. To get a purple hue, you need to do the same with the peel of the red onion.

    Red color

Red, reddish-crimson - a decoction of cherry bark or cherry branches.

Example: Boil the bark or cherry twigs, let it brew for several hours (it is better to boil and leave overnight), be sure to strain, boil eggs in this infusion. If the broth of the cherry bark is made weak, the eggs will turn pink.

    Pink color

Pink and lilac shades - blueberries, lingonberries, cranberries (frozen or as juice), raspberries, currants, cherries, red cabbage. You can soak boiled eggs in the juice.

    Green color

Green - dried spinach, parsley, nettle, ivy, blueberry decoction

Example 1: For 2-3 eggs and 0.5 liters of water, take about a handful of dried coltsfoot, bracken fern or carrot tops.

Example 2: Boil eggs with dried nettle infusion (3 tablespoons of chopped nettle per liter of water).

Example 3: Fresh blueberry holes can be used to achieve a green hue in the eggs. For 1 liter of blueberry broth - 2-3 teaspoons full of turmeric powder. Turmeric, in order to avoid the appearance of lumps, first grind with water in a small bowl and only then place in a decoction of blueberries.

Example 4: Chop the spinach finely (frozen is also good), fill with water to cover. Cook for 30 minutes and let cool.

    Blue color

Blue, purple - blueberries, lingonberries or blueberries (the berry should be frozen from last year), elderberries, red cabbage leaves - the broth will be red, but the eggs will turn blue.

Example: For 0.5 liters of water, take 2 small heads of red cabbage and 6 tablespoons of 9% vinegar. Finely chop the cabbage, cover with hot water, add vinegar. Immerse boiled eggs in this composition and leave for a couple of hours. For a deeper color, the eggs are best left overnight.
